| We were very pleased to welcome "Her Royal Highness Princess Victoria and her
entourage" on our Heritage Day Tour on Saturday September 13 2008. She graciously agreed to take the tour and to have some of our costumed characters presented to her, be they high or low life. On her way Her Royal Highness met vagrants in the stocks and gave her permission for them to be released after 2 hours. The St. Clements Cloggers, a clog dancing team from Rochester performed a number of routines for her entertainment, and they were both colourful and lively. " Her Royal Highness" met a number of our visitors, a mixed group of some 60 people from in and around Kent. The sun shone brightly for the whole tour and everything was greatly enjoyed by all.
